What to expect

Update Feb. 2022: I offer both face-to-face and online sessions. I follow specific guidelines for face-to-face sessions. Please contact me for more details.

Starting therapy can be a daunting prospect, especially when you are at your most vulnerable and need help. My own experience of deciding to have therapy and of looking for a therapist has taught me that it can be an intimidating process. You might wonder whether you are “normal” or whether things have got that bad that you require help. You might also ask yourself how you will find the right therapist for you. You might wonder how you will know that you feel safe to talk openly about what is preoccupying you.

Making contact

I offer an initial 10 minutes’ conversation on the phone to understand what brings you to therapy. This gives you the opportunity to decide if you would like to meet me. Get in touch.

First session

Our first session is a consultation. I will ask you a few questions about your own history and well-being to understand if I can help.  We will discuss your goals for therapy as well as fees, time and number of sessions. You will be able to ask questions and discuss any concerns you might have. It is an opportunity to meet and decide if we are a good fit to work together.

Fees

I have a sliding scale of fees from £70-85 per session. We will discuss fees during our initial session. I don’t offer reduced rates.

Payment can be made by card or bank transfer.
